Still waiting for Steam

2026-10-07

It’s 7 October. I signed Armatura up for Steamworks on 23 September, and Valve hasn’t replied yet. That’s two weeks now.

Until they do, there’s no store page. That means no wishlists, no Steam playtest and no demo on Steam. The game still runs as Valve’s test app, the same as in the last Steam post.

So I kept working on everything that will be needed once the answer comes.

  • The store page is ready to fill in. The capsule art and the screenshots are done.
  • A playtest build is ready. Testers will see a short note the first time they open it.
  • A demo is ready too. It ends at a set point and asks you to wishlist the game.
  • The game is in English, Russian and Ukrainian. I also tried making other languages with AI, but I have no way to check if they’re right. I’m still not sure what to do about them.
  • There’s a press kit on this site, and a first rough cut of the trailer.

The game itself got better in the same weeks. It has color palettes for color blind players, and Ctrl+Z now undoes a building, a wire or a setting.

If you want to follow along before the store page exists, the devlog is the place. I’ll post here the day Valve answers.
