Play reports
Too Many Requests can mail a play report to the studio. It does that only when you press SEND. This page says what a report holds, where it goes and how to have it deleted.
What a report holds
A report from the REPORT screen (F8 or the pause screen) holds these files.
- The note you typed.
- Your run, as a save file.
- A picture of the game window.
- A short line with the game version, the site, the clock, the window size and your settings.
A crash report holds the error and the place in the code where it happened, the game version, your operating system, your run, a copy of the game's log and a picture of the window when there is one.
If you type an email address, it goes with the report so I can write back. Leave it empty and I can't.
Before a report leaves your computer, the game takes your user name out of every file path in it. The server checks that again.
When it is sent
Never on its own. The game sends a report only when you press SEND. The same report always stays in a folder on your computer, and OPEN FOLDER shows where. You can read every file before you send it.
Apart from SEND, the game itself sends nothing over the network. Steam keeps your play time and achievements, as it does for every game.
Where it goes
The report goes to a small server that Armatura runs on Cloudflare. The server turns it into one email to [email protected] and keeps nothing. It only counts how many reports came in today, so spam can't fill the inbox.
The email lands in the studio inbox, which Gmail hosts. I read it to find bugs and the things that feel wrong, and I may copy what I find into a task for the game. A report is never sold, shared or used for ads.
Deleting a report
Write to [email protected] and ask. Send it from the address you gave, or tell me roughly when you sent the report and the game version from the corner of the screen. I'll delete the email and anything I copied from it, and write back when it's done.
